Newton-le-Willows Light Design

Working with the team at GoActive and Alliance Leisure Services, together we created a unique lighting experience for the Multi-Purpose Studio at Newton-le-Willows. We designed the space using 3D software to allow the team to select the concept they knew would suit their customers and members.

Formally the Selwyn Jones Centre, the facility had undergone major refurbishment across multiple planned phases. Complete with a brand-new gym, soft play centre and café delivered we joined the project in phase two.  We worked hand in hand with team to design and deliver multiple lighting scenes within the new studio.

The delivery of the whole project was completed to the highest standard and we understood we needed to deliver to the highest standard.

The brief was clear – the space was going to be used for multiple activity delivery.

We designed stage lighting complete with a feature that was hidden behind the Queenax Rig. We installed and set up a speciality rig across the ceiling. Delivered as multiple squares sat within each other, the lighting was set as scenes that the staff were able to draw upon for different class requirements. Different areas of the room reacting to the spaces demands.

During the Covid 19 pandemic the staff were able to broadcast form this versatile space to engage with their customers and keep them fit and active whilst working out from their homes.
