Therabody x John Lewis

John Lewis in-store display & nationwide gondola rollout

‘The Pitch’

Therabody’s rapid rise as a world leader in percussive therapy has been as powerful as the Theragun product itself. The wide range of specific products in the Theragun portfolio, display the commitment and development of the business to wellness.

Being instructed to design and produce a display that highlights the multifaceted approach to wellbeing, in the premium surrounding of John Lewis and Partners within Oxford Street, London was a compelling project. Having an opportunity to display the Theragun Product line as part of ‘The Pitch’ in 2020 allowed us to create a space that was elevated in every sense of the word

We were able to take the space provided by JLP and 3D visualise the area to provide proof of concept, assisting in an accelerated sign off process. We produced 5 plinths to showcase the products. As the products were to be used as a live demonstration area we built the plinths to allow for storage within and provided security with retractable tethering to the devices.

We incorporated interactive iPad docks to the pedestal units for customers to browse the products in the digital space. We tangibly demonstrated the products percussive motion by producing beautiful, 3D printed waves on top of three of the units.

We provided an end-to-end delivery from concept, 3D visualisation and artworking to production of the pedestals, vinyl, tension fabric graphics and installation in store.

‘Multi Store’

The success of The Pitch and both companies’ commitment to their customers wellness meant the partnership grew quickly and we were able to continue the development of the display options for Theragun.
This took place in the shape of an in-store gondola, replicating an already tried and tested format within the JLP stores but being able to provide a surface that was worthy of displaying the product range.

Again we took to 3D software to display the designs back to multiple stakeholders within the business’, allowing for transparency of the design and delivery throughout. On sign off we moved through to construction drawings, working with the JLP team throughout to make sure they were informed of the technical aspect of what was going to be delivered into store.

For the build of the unit we used many different medias to bring the project together including a moulded gel top surface incorporating 10mm powder coated black steel and double sided lightboxes to divide and display the power of the Theragun product.

There items were delivered through a scheduled installation plan and can be seen across the John Lewis and Partners estate within the sporting areas of the stores.
