Overview
An immersive, audio-reactive lighting experience for the multi-purpose studio at Newton-le-Willows — programmable scenes for every class type.
Working with the team at GoActive and Alliance Leisure Services, together we created a unique lighting experience for the Multi-Purpose Studio at Newton-le-Willows. We designed and installed multiple lighting scenes — including a feature hidden behind the Queenax Rig and a speciality ceiling rig delivered as multiple squares nested within each other.
Programmable Scenes
The lighting was set as scenes that staff could draw upon for different class requirements — from the focused intensity of early morning sessions to the charged atmosphere of evening classes. During COVID-19, the versatile space also enabled staff to broadcast fitness content to remote members.
Full Colour Range
RGBA lighting delivers the full spectrum — each colour scene creating a distinct mood that reinforces the type of session taking place. The difference between a recovery session and a high-intensity boxing class is felt from the moment you walk in.
The Rig
The speciality ceiling rig — delivered as multiple squares nested within each other — is an architectural statement as much as a lighting installation. A centrepiece that defines the character of the space and elevates every session that takes place beneath it.
